One of the most-awaited films of this year, Jolly LLB 3, is finally coming to cinemas on 19 September. This is the third part of the Jolly LLB series. In the first part, Arshad Warsi was the lead, while in the second part, Akshay Kumar took the lead. At that time, many people raised questions about why Akshay replaced Arshad. But still, both parts earned a good reputation.
Now the same comedy and the same drama continue in this third part, where Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar will come face to face. Same faces, same emotions – all this will make Jolly LLB 3 a blockbuster. Interestingly, both characters are named Jolly – one is from Kanpur and the other from Meerut. In this film, both will prove who is the real Jolly. It is a courtroom drama where both will fight their cases as lawyers. So far, 2025 has not been very lucky for Akshay Kumar, but this film could change that. This will be his 4th release of the year after Sky Force, Housefull 5, and Kesari Chapter 2.
The biggest publicity for this film is the fact that it belongs to the hit Jolly LLB franchise. Its teaser and trailer have already created huge hype. At the same time, while the trailer and teaser have created hype, one of the songs of this film, “Bhae Vakeel Hai,” has already created controversy. According to reports, some dialogues in the teaser and lyrics of the song have been accused of targeting the lawyer profession. The cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, Boman Irani and Annu Kapoor in key roles.
After watching the first two parts, everyone expected Jolly LLB 3 to be a full comedy. But the trailer proved this wrong. Here, emotions, humor, and drama are well balanced. The film also highlights social issues – how in today’s time lawyers are bought, how courts (which are supposed to be temples of justice) are controlled by money and power, how poor petitioners are exploited, and how politicians or business people use bribed lawyers to win cases.
In this story, Arshad Warsi will fight for the poor farmers, while Akshay Kumar will defend the businessman who wants to grab their land illegally. The trailer shows their comic banter, with Judge Saurabh Shukla trying to silence them in between. An interesting twist is seen when Akshay, though defending the businessman, suddenly looks shaken in the end – as if he has found out the truth or may even stand against his own client. This confusion is what will pull audiences to the cinema.
Talking about the film’s buzz, the real test is ticket sales. Till one day before release, bookings were not very strong. The film managed to earn only ₹1.10 crore from advance sales, which is very low and worrying for the makers. But after release, there is still hope that positive word of mouth can save it. Just like Mahavatar Narsimha and Sitaare Zameen Par managed to build buzz later, Jolly LLB 3 might also create the same magic after release.
