Dhakkad Beera, Colors TV’s newest family drama, draws its name from the Hindi word ‘Dhakkad’ — meaning fierce, fearless, and unbreakable. And the first promo lives up to the name. Set against a Punjabi rural backdrop, the show promises a high-octane emotional drama centred on family, honour, and deeply rooted social issues.

The first official promo, released on June 28, 2025, has already sparked excitement across social media. Early viewer reactions have poured in with surprise, curiosity, and emotional praise — especially for the trailer’s bold twist and rural authenticity. Viewers are calling it a “powerful return to meaningful storytelling” on Colors TV. Many even compared it to some of the channel’s most iconic shows from the past.

One name that came up repeatedly in reactions was “Na Aana Is Des Laado” — the 2009 hit that tackled female oppression and rural patriarchy, which aired until July 27, 2012. The other strong comparison is with “Veer Ki Ardaas Veera,” a beloved show about sibling bonding set in a similar cultural space. Audiences are saying Dhakkad Beera feels like an emotional blend of both — a bold story of resistance, family, and raw sentiment. What’s especially grabbing attention is the portrayal of the brother-sister relationship, as well as the mother-son emotional thread, which already feels deeply rooted and heartfelt — even from just a single promo.

After a long time, Colours TV has backed a project that combines substance with style. The tone is intense, the cast is promising, and the backdrop feels authentic. Dhakkad Beera might just be the next TRP-changer that Colors TV needs.

The trailer of Dhakkad Beera introduces a gripping family drama set in a rural village where emotions run deep, and rules are non-negotiable. The tone is serious, the visuals are raw, and the performances leave a solid first impression.

Rakshanda Khan, known for her earlier role as Sumitra in Naagin 3, returns to television in a strikingly intense role. This time, she plays a strict and commanding Sarpanch — a village leader who values (honour) above everything, even life itself. Her body language, tone, and presence establish her as the dominant figure in the village.

Pankhuri Awasthy appears in a cameo role, portraying a woman who is visibly pregnant and caught in a life-threatening situation. Men sent by the village authorities are chasing her character. During her escape, she gives birth to a baby girl named Guddi — a dramatic moment that adds emotional weight to the trailer. The scene is portrayed with urgency and pain as her young son Samrat (played by child actor Divyam Shukla) holds his newborn sister and tries to escape the danger surrounding them.

One of the trailer’s most intense moments — the one that has triggered a strong reaction online — shows Rakshanda Khan’s character taking an extreme step against the mother. After a tense chase and childbirth scene, She is shown lifting the woman’s severed head and placing it back on her body in a deeply unsettling act. The action is abrupt, disturbing, and emotionally heavy. This unexpected moment has deeply shocked viewers, not just for its graphic nature but for the cold finality it represents within the storyline.
