Colors TV is all set to bring its brand-new drama Bindi, produced by Palki Malhotra under Streetlamp & Beehive Collective LLP. The much awaited Bindi Colors TV serial is already in the spotlight after its promo dropped on 15 August 2025. It started making headlines with its emotional storyline and strong cast.
The story of Bindi is an official remake of Star Maa’s popular serial Chinni. The promo itself is almost a scene-by-scene copy of the original, with hardly any difference. At its heart, the show follows the emotional journey of a young girl born and raised in a jail, and the sacrifices of her mother, who continues to fight for her daughter’s place in the world.
In Bindi, Radhika Muthukumar, remembered from Sasural Simar Ka 2, will be seen in a new avatar as the mother of this jail-born child. Krushal Ahuja plays the male lead, while seasoned actor Manav Gohil returns to television after Dabangi and Tenali Rama with a decisive role. Actor Abhishek Rawat has also joined the cast in an important character. With such a strong line-up, the makers want to blend fresh chemistry with experienced talent.
The promo has sparked curiosity not only because of its identical resemblance to Chinni, but also due to audience reactions. Many viewers on social media commented that the look and tone of the promo reminded them of Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan. This unexpected comparison has only added to the hype.
Although the channel has not yet announced an official telecast date, industry sources suggest that Bindi is expected to hit screens by late August or early September 2025. Shooting is in progress, and Colors TV is gearing up to make it one of its major launches of the year.
